American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance
With 22,000 members, the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) is the largest organization of professionals supporting and assisting professionals involved in physical education, recreation, fitness, sport and coaching, dance, health education and promotion, and all specialties related to achieving a healthy and active lifestyle.

Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association
The Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association has been serving the instrumental music teachers and students of our State for over 75 years. We proudly represent over 1,200 public, parochial and private schools and over 1,600 instrumental music teachers in Michigan.
MSBOA continues to follow the mission of our founders as we provide quality festival experience for the students of our member schools and effective workshops, clinics and services for our member directors.

National Board for Professional Teaching Standards
The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards improves teaching and student learning. National Board Certified Teachers are highly accomplished educators who meet high and rigorous standards.
Like board-certified doctors and accountants, teachers who achieve National Board Certification have met rigorous standards through intensive study, expert evaluation, self-assessment and peer review. NBPTS offers 25 certificates that cover a variety of subject areas and student developmental levels.
Since 1987 more than 82,000 teachers have achieved National Board Certification. These teachers prepare America’s diverse student population with the skills it needs to compete in the 21st century workplace.

Oakland Schools Professional Development
Oakland Schools offers professional development training in many subject areas regionally (across Oakland County) for all local school district personnel, as well as customized training by district request. During 2005/2006 43,985 participants attended 1,376 events at Oakland Schools
